Unlike most other hosting companies, Site0 allows clients to maintain more than
one FTP account for the purposes of group participation on the construction or maintenence
of a website. Clients can create additional FTP accounts in real-time, set the startup
directory on such users, and delete extra accounts automatically.
When one is not enough...
All clients are allowed to use 25 to 50 FTP accounts
on their virtual domain account, depending upon which virtual server plan is chosen. See
the table below for the number of accounts allowed.
You create in REAL-TIME!
Through your Personal Control Panel, you can create
extra FTP accounts in real-time. You can also change the password on existing FTP
accounts, and delete accounts as well. With each account, you specify a
"startup" directory where the FTP user is restricted and cannot move outside.
Each FTP account comes with its own login and password, which you specify when created.
All additions, modifications, password changes, and deletions are made in real-time. At
any given time, from 6 to 15 people may FTP into your virtual server, depending upon
account type!
I want MY FTP!
When you FTP to your domain, you will see that the
FTP server responds with your domain name as the FTP server. This is done to put a look of
independence on your website.
No restrictions here!
There are no restrictions on your FTP accounts;
however, you are responsible for the content on your website. This includes content
uploaded through any FTP accounts you give out. In short, you should be selective in who
you give extra FTP accounts to.
